Fraud Among Google Places

Search Engine Land just released an online article that describes how some individuals or businesses are able to go into Google Places and mark other businesses as “Closed” unbeknownst to that business owner. I can vouch for this because Conversion Pipeline has uncovered a recent client that just had their Google Places location marked as “Closed”. Since we are currently managing this client’s online marketing, we picked up on it shortly after it happened and were able to work with Google to rectify the problem. If you have a problem with Google Places indicating that your business is “Closed”, call the Conversion Pipeline team for a FREE consultation on how to mitigate the problem.
